STARS WEEK 8

Hi people we are Francisco José and Juan Antonio. During this week we have been the star role of our group. This week was about comics. We have created our photocomic. Moreover, us (Paco and Juan Antonio) were in charge of presenting the comic to the rest of the partners and the teacher, and in spite of the problems at the beginning with the conexion, we did a great explanation.

In the presentatio we tried to identify the four main potentialities that we were asked to do, and also describe our comic and the parts of it. We did a contrast between learning in the past and learning now, in the 21st century. The differences that we established are very clear.

THIS ARE THE MAIN IDEAS OF OUR COMIC AND THE PARTS OF THE PRESENTATION:
To explain our concepts we have produced two comics based on how it was taught to multiply in a class of the past, with traditional teaching methods, and another based on a current class, which makes use of technology to promote learning. In the first bullet of our past class we can see a group of students in class that is totally bored
On the contrary, in the first bullet of the second comic book we can see how the teacher before explaining how it multiplies, decides that children use a mathematical application on their computers, which has both visual and auditory material, to find out what level the students start from and what level of difficulty they must impose in their class. This activity is closely related to the principle of innovation and visualization, since for children to use their critical thinking, creativity, etc have to work on challenging activities for them, but do not find them too difficult, and when working on an application that has visual and auditory inputs learning is facilitated, as children learn best when they receive both inputs at the same time
Going back to our comic from the past we see that we find a child learning to multiply only through a textbook, with no possibility of looking for information from other sources, while in our second comic we see a group of students who have computers, tablets, etc to search for information from different pages and see explained how it multiplies across different platforms and teachers. This situation is related to the democratization of knowledge, since the use of technologies allows all children to have access to innumerable sources of information, making the learning process fairer and more egalitarian.
By switching back to our comic book from the past we can see how a teacher reprimands students for speaking to each other and trying to help each other, because some of them don’t quite understand how to multiply, while in our second comic book we can see how children help each other, explaining concepts and learning together, as some students have more facility in this task, while others have facility in others. . In this photo it is represented as the use of technologies together with teamwork helps students to build their own meaning of terms and techniques, and to learn the concepts for themselves, rather than repeating the concepts the teacher says.

Finally, going back to our comic book from the past we can see how the teacher ends up explaining the concepts of multiplication on the blackboard, without the collaboration of the children and without any other resources, while in our second comic the children use different applications like tutorials on youtube, ipads, etc to finish learning the concept, as established by the concept of learning objects.

FACILITATOR ROLE WEEK 8

Hi! I'm Marta and this week I was the facilitator 😀. This week began with the explanation of a new activity; making a comic📝. Our teacher Linda gave us a choice between different types of comics, and we agreed to choose the photo comic!📷

That same afternoon we made a videoconference with all the members of our group to start organizing the task 💻.
The first thing we did was read the text, where 4 potentialities of technology for education appeared, and we had to find them to include them in our comic. Each one read a fragment of the text that they would later have to explain to the other classmates. In this way, we could collect them faster!🙌
Once we had that done, we created a document in which we would all include our ideas💭.

But the great advance of our comic did not come until the next day,  in which we made another videoconference in order to finish our work. We wrote the scenes that our comic would have, and we looked for the suitable photos for each scene.

We have to recognize that we thought that our chosen task would be the easiest, but due to our current confinement situation, taking the photos was difficult since everyone was at home, so we had to search for them online🔍.
This was also a bit difficult since these photos could not be copyrighted, so using various pages like flickr, we found what we were looking for💪.

Finally, Carmen Llamas made the collage from the organization that we had thought for our story, adding some vignettes. And the stars began to prepare their exposition.
This was the result!:

And that's all! We hope you liked it, see you soon😘💖

CURRATOR WEEK 8

Hello everyone, hope you are spending a wonderful quarantine so are we.
For this week the one who is in charge of being the currator it's me, Miguel, is my first time but I know I will do it perfect.

So as you may know for this week all groups have been doing a comic our group has decided to do it with this app that we discovered on google play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.picsart.studio&hl=es .

Second of all having already the app we needed to look for photos for the comic and the one that we chose were these:

For "before":

Third vignette: https://www.rawpixel.com/image/7079/kids-with-social-media-props
Fourth vignette: https://unsplash.com/photos/rSdkzkfvqlY

Basically these have been our resources where we have obtained the information, I have to say that although it is been a bit tough to work from the distance via video call we can work as hard as face to face.

ANALYSTS WEEK 8

Welcome everyone 🙋!  How’s it going? We´re Sergio and Carmen Rocío and today we are going to tell and reflect with you on our experience as analysts!!
This week we have been observing our colleagues to later evaluate them.

But above all, we have analyzed our growth and evolution as a group. If you want to see more information just stay reading here!!
If you are followers of this blog you will know that the classes due to the coronavirus have been transferred to an online format. As we mentioned in previous posts, none of us had experience of this and it has been a complete challenge for us💥.
This week we have learned to use a type of comic called photo comic, although if you want to know what this concept means just click here. (AÑADIR EL ENLACE A LA PARTE DEL TRANSLATOR)
Something that has become part of our routine is to meet by videoconference the afternoon when homework is sent. This week we have needed to cooperate more as a group and in this sense we have evolved a lot.

To begin with, last week was our first week online, we were all adapting to share ideas without interrupting and facilitating each other our tasks since it became more complicated than when we were working in the Aulario Giner de los Ríos  all together.
This week we were aware that the task requires more attention since it was something new and we have worked more efficiently.

We agree that the worst part 😕this week has been to continue working like this since everything is slowing down. We want to go back to normal classes and work face to face all together!  In this way, this week we have learned the importance of being connected and we appreciate having a physical space such as the University of Murcia to learn, study and work.

But not everything is bad! For us, the best of the week 😊 was the online class with Linda. We really enjoyed the creations of our colleagues and we loved the virtual applause moment. We believe that in this very stressful situation we need moments to support each other and we loved being able to appraise all the stars with applause. It was a very fun and beautiful moment!

The best moments as a group 😇 have been those in which someone has been needed to carry out the task and has helped with their knowledge. For example, Carmen Llamas had previously used the application that we have used for the photo comic, so she took care of that. On the other hand, Adrián helped the stars with their speech to present in class. The rest of us, help shape ideas to create our task.

In this way, we mark cooperation as a value to highlight this week. We believe that it is essential and more at this moment to use our knowledge to develop our work. It is something that we must not forget and as a group we will try to improve each week.

We also think that in addition to cooperation we must assign tasks to work more effectively, as we have done so far. It is important to keep working 9 people at the same time and ensure that we all contribute and evolve.

Furthermore, in this way we were able to solve an information problem that arose after Linda's class. The problem was that it was understood that the images used in the comic were not copyrighted. Following this ruling, analysts decided to re-search for copyright-free photos in places like Pexels, Rawpixel and Unsplash. Personally, we highly recommend them when doing work like this.

Our reflection on the activity: how technologies have changed the way we learn and teach in the classroom.
The Outsiders decided to develop the four concepts that stood out the most in the text. These concepts were: the democratization of knowledge, learning by objectives, participation and visualization.
We decided that the best idea to make this activity was to plan a class from the past with a 21st century classroom.

The content of this activity clearly affects and influences us. Mainly, because we are students and therefore, today we find technology inside and outside the classroom. We see how it helps us to cooperate with each other, adapts to what we need to learn and provides us with tools to expand our knowledge.

As you will know,  in a near future we will be teachers and we will have to take into account the facilities provided by technologies.

But ... how can we relate this content to the social context? Very easy! Our life rolls on technologies. Almost all the content and information we need is found on the internet. There is more and more information on the net and there is more connection to help each other. That is the importance of being interconnected!

Finally, we would like to remark that due to a failure of communication, not all the photos that we used for the original comic were free from author rights, so we decided to change them in order that our magnificient teacher Linda could upload our comic to instagram without problems of any kind. We have just changed the photos but neither the structure or the topics, so we hope that by doing that we have solved this issue.

This is our definitive comic:

Well guys, that´s is all for today! We hope you liked our reflection this week and ... see you on the net! 😜💖💣
