JOURNALIST WEEK 8 ADRIÁN

JOURNALIST ROLE WEEK 8: ADRIÁN

Hi everyone! After a few weeks I finally had to play the role of journalist, something I had been waiting for for quite some time, although as we have to stay  at home it has been a bit  different.

Well, first of all I would like to start telling you how our week has been. Firstly we had our class on Tuesday morning, which fortunately we were all able to attend online. In this class our teacher explained to us what our task this week would consist of, which would be to make a comic taking into account the main aspects of a text that we should read later. Finally, our teacher gave us a choice between different types of comic, and even though we had to choose it fairly quickly, we all thought that the photo comic would be the best type for us.

Finally, at the end of the class we all decided that after having lunch we would start reading the text, and after having read it we would make a video call in hangous to compare ideas and see how we would make the comic.

In the video call we began to decide what aspects of the text we should include in our comic, and how to represent them in it. After having decided it, we began to think about how to make our comic, and given the impossibility of going out to take photos, we decided that we would take our photos from the internet, from the pages that our teacher had previously told us that we could use, since they have images copyright free.

Finally we agreed to make another video call on Wednesday morning to start editing the comic and prepare our presentation. On Wednesday morning we all presented the photos that we thought best suited our ideas, and we finally decided which ones we would include in our comic. Once our story and the comic were decided, we divided into two groups, one group to make the comic, and another group to prepare the presentation and finalize the small details.

Finally on Thursday in the class with our teacher, our stars (Paco and Juan Antonio) presented the comic to our teacher and classmates, and I must say that they did an excellent job.

As a journalist, I would like to highlight a web page that has been of great help to us in carrying out this task, it is called photo jet, and in it you can find thousands of resources and ideas for making a comic, and despite the fact that it is paid, it offers numerous resources for free.

Finally I would like to highlight the work done this week by the group “Ticchers”, it shows that they have worked enormously to carry out the project, since the design of their comic was very ingenious, and they carried out a very funny as well as didactic presentation. Bravo for them!

Thank you very much for reading, see you soon!

ANALIST ROLE WEEK 7

Hello guys! We are Carmen Llamas and Jorge García , and we have been working as analysts. This week we have had to adapt to a new situation, isolation at home due to quarantine imposed to stop the expansion of the coronavirus. From this came the idea of adapting the planned activity to be carried out with the children in the “one day at my teacher's school” days the week before this new situation, thus having to change the approach of the activity almost by full.
It is true that the fact of not being able to meet in person has made things a bit difficult, although we were able to make use of new technologies, in this case video call to coordinate and thus be able to carry out this work, in that sense the organization and the way of Solving the problem has been very effective, despite the complications that arose. In that sense we can be proud, since we have greatly improved teamwork and the way we approach work, now we are able to make nine people work in a productive and effective way, contributing new ideas and completing those of others.
Regarding the activity itself, I would emphasize the importance of considering carrying out an activity that was already designed and planned differently, adapting it so that each one could do it from home, since this is something that frequently happens in the day to day of a teacher, not in such an extreme case but there are situations in which the planned cannot be carried out, that's why this activity has helped us a lot, since it makes us aware that things do not always go as planned and that you have to have the resources to adapt and be able to get it out in the best possible way. Even so, we must still improve the way we work to get things done in a more efficient way and with better results, as well as include more new technologies in our daily work to improve their use and be able to benefit from everything they offer. That is why perhaps the most difficult part has been coordinating without physically meeting.

As future teachers we should try to learn as much as we can about the resources that we can use when doing our work in order to adapt to any situation and do it in the best possible way.

JOURNALIST WEEK 7

Hello , I’m Francisco José and this week I’m the journalist. This week was very strange due to coronavirus, we was in our home and all classes were by videoconference, coronavirus will not be able to overcome our desire to learn.

The last Tuesday we had to make an exposition , for this task we was talking together by videoconference. This task was about how we can work with the Cody Rocky in our house, because when we will be teacher we have to know how we could overcame situation like quarantine.

During the exposition,  Miguel and Adrian , the starts of the week , talked about the areas that we should to modify in this case: Epistematically design , Social Design and set design.

Besides this task, we was working by videoconference, again, in a video, that serves as a message of encouragement for those who are fighting against coronavirus, the virus for which we must remain in our homes. WE WILL RESIST!

PPDD: I would not want to end without highlighting the work carried out by Ticchers, the way they interacted with the students was amazing.
That´s all, see you next week!
Big hug!
Outsiders Group.

FACILITATOR WEEK 7

Hi everyone 🙋😊! I´m Carmen Rocío and this week I was working as facilitator 💬🔊.
This was my first time doing this role but it was more different than I imagined, especially due to the change of normal classes to online classes 📘📲.

The task we continue to do this week is planning the UDCMM online classes.
The previous Thursday we discussed our ideas and asked the TIC.Chers  group for their opinion 👍✅. They helped us plan what our teacher Linda would later ask us to do: plan the activity following the ACAD framework. (click here).

But speaking of my action in all this I must add that I began to investigate 🔎📷 how it would be better to work and where. I decided to choose Google Hangouts and on Monday we started working and recovering our work as a group.

It should be noted that it is not easy to work from a distance since when organizing and putting order is more complicated ⏳😔.
After making clear what had to be done, Sergio and I proposed dividing the activity as we all had the certainty of knowing the content of it 👏🔝.

The epistemic design was carried out by Adrián, Juan Antonio and Sergio, the social design was carried out by Jorge Marta and me, and the set design was carried out by Miguel, Paco and Carmen Llamas.
In our case it was very helpful to use video calls in smaller groups ☎💻since it took less time to explain and carry out the tasks 🕐💯.
Here you have a photo of my wonderful colleagues and me:

Also, the organization we created of the roles had already finished, so it was my turn to distribute the roles of the next weeks 🔄🔅🔆.

Finally, I wanted to express that although these circumstances are difficult from here we want to convey that we continue to want to improve 📈💡 and that is why we do not stop trying to adapt to this new situation 📍. And from here we continue working but #westayathome #flattenthecurve #wewillresist #solidarity

See you next week!!👋😙

TRANSLATOR WEEK 7

Hi guys!👋 We are Juan Antonio and Marta.
How are things?💬 We know that nowdays things are not the best at all but we have to stay strong and continue working.💪
Because of the Covid-19 during this week we have been working online💻. Also, the words we have choosen are a bit different. They are not only related to our work, but also with this strange situation, so because of that reasons our words are:

1. RESILIENCE: the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness. This is our thinking about this situation.

2.ENTHUSIASM: a feeling of energetic interest in a particular subject or activity and an eagerness to be involved in it. This word is linked to the video that the teacher proposed us to do.

3.RESPONSABILITY: a duty or obligation in order to behave correctly in respect on someone. Also you have responsaility when you have to do something and you are your only obstacle. For example, continuing with the University´s lessons...

4. ALTERNATIVES: an alternative is the possibility or need to choose between several options, and we have chosen this term because we have had to find another alternative to continue learning with our classes in ICT, and this has been via internet.

5. VIDEOCONFERENCE: a videoconference is a communication that is established through a telecommunications network and that involves the transmission of sound and image. This has been our solution to continue with our classes and to be able to communicate with our teacher and classmates.

That's all! See you in another post💗

Currator-farmer week 7

Hello everybody! 💪😄👺

I am Sergio and this week I cope with the role of currator-farmer. Although I have to admit that it is not my favourite one, this is what I have to do this week, so there is not other option.

For adapting the activity to this exceptional circumstances, we have came up with a web page so our children can be more familiar with computational thinking, learn the difference between an event and a sequence and also learn to encode something similar to Codey Rocky (you can read more about it in any other post of our blog).

Now I would like to specify which one is the web that I have just previously mentioned.

Scratch- Imagine, Program, Share. Obtain from

We sincerily hope that this situation will be reversed as soon as possible and that we can return to normality. Please, stay strong! ✊✊

                                                                                       Best wishes, Sergio

STARS WEEK 7 ADRIÁN AND MIGUEL

Hi again everybody!

Resultado de imagen de gifs of hi again!

Well, as you may already know, due to the coronavirus, this week has been a little different, and we had to change our udcmm activity, to be able to develop it online. Although we miss the children a lot, being honest, doing the activity online was also a lot of fun.

As you can find in our other blog entry
(https://theoutsidersrict1920.blogspot.com/2020/03/online-activity-of-udcmm-codey-rocky.html) the activity is carried out using the scratch page.

Focusing on our role, although presenting our work in class is more exciting, the fact of trying the video call with our classmates and teacher was also so much fun. We both had to prepare our presentation on Monday, and we decided to do it in two parts, the first part to describe in general lines the activity, carried out by Adrián, and the second part, in which we went into more detail, explaining all the development of the activity following the ACAD method, which was carried out by Miguel.
It was a great experience, and although we hope that soon we can return to the normal functioning of our classes, we continue with great enthusiasm working to improve every day and continue learning!
